Are you an:

Adult (20+) who is eager to work on:

  • Identity challenges (i.e. coming out, navigating career change, etc.)

  • Relationship challenges (with friends, partner, family, etc)

  • Grief

  • Divorce &

  • Perfectionism

  • Fertility & Family Planning

If so, I'd love to work with you.

I’m Rachel Spekman and I'm not your average therapist. I spent the first twenty years of my career elsewhere: as a teacher, non-profit leader, and startup consultant.

During the Pandemic when many of us were pushed to think deeply about purpose and meaning, I decided I wanted a major lifestyle change. Working with a therapist and career coach, I made a major (and scary!) career change and went back to social work school full time. It felt truly like a calling and I'm glad I heeded it!

Fast-forward five years and I'm doing work I love, supporting client to think deeply about their values, goals, and what might be holding them back from making changes.

I'd love to work with you on identity issues, family dynamics, grief, infertility and women's health, and/or career.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I have a warm, supportive, and eclectic approach to my therapeutic work with clients. I utilize cognitive-based-therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), among many other dynamics.

What you can expect from our first session

You can walk away expecting to feel energized, challenged, hopefully having laughed once or twice, and feeling like growing and healing is hard work, but that you have strategies, evidence, and support on your side.
